Over the past three years Star Drilling has completed three drilling programs at a remote mine site in South Australia.
Purpose: Collect data for Geotechnical and Geochemical lab testing, pit wall batter design.
These projects involved drilling PQ3 bores down to a maximum of 150 metres and required quality core of the alluvial sediments.
The site spans a dune system so Morooka-tracked support vehicles and tracked drilling rigs were utilised to transport equipment, core and water.
Monitoring wells were installed with specialised inflatable packers then grout was tremie pumped in on top of the inflated packers.
