Since its establishment, Star Drilling has carried out over 1500 projects across Australia, from small environmental drilling projects to mine site investigations and national infrastructure projects.

Its clientele include Rio Tinto, Iluka Resources, Boss Resources, Newcrest Cadia, Westgate Tunnel Project and North East Link Authority, as well as consultants including GHD, ARUP, Golder/WSP, AECOM, Jacobs and Coffey/Tetratech.

Star Drilling has established itself as a safe and reliable partner in executing the drilling projects.

It prides itself as a hands-on contractor with the objective to safely complete the projects on time and budget.

Remote Drilling on the Gove Peninsula in NT

Star Drilling installed 15m of 200mm 304 stainless steel screen to depth and developed the bore. The end result was a bore that produced close to 30 litres per second, exceeding the client’s expectations and requirements.

Groundwater Recharge System

The drilling specification called for a combination of sonic and air rotary drilling at a diameter of 250mm with the installation of 168mm 316 stainless steel screens.

Coal Mine, NSW

The project required drilling into waste emplacement areas to a depths ranging from 70 m to 117 m at the Duralie Coal Mine Site NSW. The previous drilling contractor was unable to reach required depths

Remote South Australia Mine Site Geotechnical and Geochemical Drilling

This program involved drilling PQ3 bores down to a maximum of 150 metres and required quality core from the alluvial sediments.

Melbourne Airport Rail Link

Star Drilling spent three years geotechnical drilling for the Melbourne Airport Rail Link. A lot of drilling occurred on or under the E.J. Whitten Rail Bridge.
